Venice Fishing Report From July 22
As stated in our last report, we had to cancel the weekend trips due to some weird frontal weather that popped up out of nowhere and it just wasn’t safe to get out there. Thankfully our charters had the time to reschedule and boy am I glad we did. The weather on July 22 was what it is all about down here. With calm seas and sunny skies we were off to the races. Robert Law and his family met us at the boat and we continued to fish our butts off and have a great time. As usual, I am not the best at expressing how awesome these trips can be, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
Fishing Good When Weather Cooperates
The weather man has really been getting it wrong lately. We had to cancel both trips this past weekend, and we had some trips where the conditions were just not ideal. I recommend if you are coming down to Venice to try and have an alternate date just in case we need to wait for a front to move out of the area.
When the weather has cooperated the fishing has been good on dead baits. We have been chunking for the fish on the oil rigs and getting a fair amount of fish each day.

The Bite Just Keeps Getting Better!
The fishing has been excellent here in Venice and the weather has been cooperating just about each and every day. We have had the pleasure to fish with some great folks from all over the world. Venice is the top yellowfin tuna fishing destination and it has made us look good recently.

Summer Is Here and So Are The Fish!
We get asked everyday, “When is the best time to book a trip for Tuna”? Well, now is an awesome time. We are in a hot wahoo bite and the tuna are very active. From now until July you have a great chance of amazing weather and fishing. We are fishing everyday, so book in advance. For this report, I’m going to get right to the pictures. 1 notable catch was a 350lb blue marlin. Video coming!
